The terms behind using HireKindle

HireKindle is a boutique recruitment agency. We help startups ("employers") find candidates for open roles, and we help job-seekers ("candidates") find relevant opportunities at the startups we work with. We act as a facilitator and matchmaker between the two — we are not a party to any employment relationship that results from an introduction we make, and we are not the employer of record for any candidate we place.

Our placement fees are contingency-based — you owe nothing unless we help you make a hire. As stated on our Employers page, the fee is 10% of the hired candidate's annual CTC for individual-contributor to lead-level roles, and 15% of annual CTC for director-level and above, or highly specialized senior hires.

Once a placement is confirmed, we'll send a payment request for the agreed fee through Razorpay, our payment processor. Payment is due on the terms stated in that request unless we've agreed otherwise with you in writing.

Replacement guarantee. If a placed candidate's employment ends within 90 days of their start date for reasons related to performance or fit — whether the candidate resigns or you end the placement — we will run a replacement search for that role at no additional placement fee.

This guarantee doesn't apply if the departure is for reasons unrelated to the candidate's performance or fit — for example, role elimination, restructuring, or budget cuts.

We don't offer cash refunds under any circumstances. The guarantee above is limited to a replacement search. The original placement fee is non-refundable regardless of outcome, and a successful replacement search doesn't incur a second fee.

Fee disputes should be raised with us in writing at hello@hirekindle.in within a reasonable time of the invoice date so we can look into them.

It is free for candidates to submit their details and be considered for roles through HireKindle — we never charge candidates a fee of any kind. Our fee is paid entirely by the employer, only upon a successful placement.

Submitting your details doesn't guarantee an introduction, an interview, or a placement. We only put candidates forward for roles we think are a genuine fit, which means we may not have a relevant opportunity for you at any given time.

Employers and candidates can create an account with an email and password, or by signing in with Google or LinkedIn. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you submit — please don't create an account using someone else's identity or on behalf of a company you're not authorized to represent.

You can close your account or ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hello@hirekindle.in. We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, abusively, or in a way that violates these terms — for example, submitting spam, false information, or attempting to circumvent our fee structure by contacting a candidate or employer we introduced you to solely to avoid paying our fee.

HireKindle facilitates introductions between employers and candidates — we do not employ candidates, and we are not responsible for the conduct, performance, decisions, or representations of either party once an introduction is made. We make reasonable efforts to screen candidates and verify hiring requirements, but we don't guarantee the suitability, qualifications, or reliability of any candidate or the accuracy of any role description.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HireKindle's total liability arising from your use of our service is limited to the placement fees you've actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost hires.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of HireKindle will first be addressed through good-faith direct discussion — email us and we'll do our best to resolve it directly. If that doesn't resolve things, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

We may update these terms as HireKindle's services change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and we'll make a reasonable effort to notify account holders directly if a change is significant. Continuing to use HireKindle after a change means you accept the updated terms.
